LUNCHBREAK @ KOREAN BBQ

Meidän Zalandon toimisto muutti melko cooliin lokaatioon Berliinin muurin viereen ja joen rantaan pari viikkoa sitten. Tää käynnisti tietenkin armottoman uusien lounaspaikkojen metsästyksen - ja vihdoin perjantaina löytyi ensimmäinen napakymppi! Korealainen outdoor BBQ on sievä sisäpiha ihan Warschauerin sillan kupeessa Kreuzbergin puolella. Maksoin kana-annoksestani about kuusi euroa muistaakseni ja täytyy sanoa että nautinto oli joka pennin arvoinen! Tykkäsin myös paikan ilmapiiristä, kun kesällä ulkona syöminen on parasta ja kalustus oli simppelin viihtyisä.

// Our Zalando office moved to a fairly cool location next to the Berlin wall and the Spree a couple of weeks ago. This of course kickstarted a ruthless hunt of the best local lunch spots - and finally on Friday we found the first hit! Korean outdoor BBQ is a pretty courtyard in Kreuzberg just nearby Warschauer Bridge. I paid around six euros for my chicken&rice and the treat was truly worth of every single penny! I also liked the simple and cozy atmosphere :)

Kuten luvattu, tarjolla vihreää! Mun kämppis Linda on varsinainen tyylitaituri, jonka ovelle koputtelen nykyään aina kellon tikittäessä ja vaatekaapin pohjan pilkottaessa. Näin myös viime viikonloppuna, enkä taaskaan joutunut pettymään - sain lainaksi leveälahkeisista housuista muokatun hameen, johon rakastuin päätä pahkaa! Mustat yksityiskohdat ja rennompi toppi toivat kokonaisuuteen kaipaamaani särmää, ja BBQ-bilelook oli valmis! (Unohtamatta hehkuttamaani oranssia huulipunaa). Mitäs tykkäätte, uppoaako vihreä? :)

// As promised, finally some green to be seen! My dear roomie Linda is such a stylista whose door I always knock when the clock is ticking and outfit emergency is on. This happened last weekend (again) and I must say she never betrays me - I got to borrow a green maxi skirt with gorgeous split (customised from wide leg trousers) that I just fell head over heels in love with! Just black details and casual print top to add some edge, and BBQ-party look was ready! (Not to mention the orange lipstick I was hyping in the last post). So, what do you think about my new love green, hit or miss? :)

Vadelma-minttusoodan lisäksi mä olen viime aikoina hullaantunut toiseenkin mulle täysin eriskummalliseen ilmiöön. VIHREÄÄN. Yhtäkkiä kaikki vihreä näyttää hyvältä ja freesiltä ja muka matchaa kaiken kanssa - erityisesti kirkkaanvihreä (vai pitäisikö sanoa tuoreen papukeiton vihreä, kuten Monki väittää). Kuvittelen hipiän päivettyneemmäksi ja tukan tuuheammaksi kun pukeudun vihreään. Saatampa joutua piipahtamaan Berliinin ainokaisessa Monkissa piakkoin… Anyway, loppusilauksen antaa oranssihtava huulipuna, oman lempparini olen löytänyt Kikosta! // Alongside the raspberry-mint soda there is another newcomer to my favourites. GREEN. Suddenly everything green looks so cool and fresh and matches with anything - especially bright green (or should I call it fresh pea soup green like Monki does). I even feel like having more volume in my hair when wearing green. Fashion victim? Hell no. I might need to pop by in Monki soon… Anyway, as a perfect finishing touch I love to add orange-red lipstick, own favourite found in Kiko! Related outfit pics coming soon :)

HIMBEER-MINZE

Homemade please! Kuvissa vilahtelee mun kotikadun varrelta löytyvä bar/cafe Dachkammer klik, jonka kotitekoinen vadelma-minttusooda on saanut mut hullaantumaan! Sunnuntain helteessä raahauduttiin Fannyn kanssa limuille, istuttiin (paahduttiin) auringossa ja parannettiin maailmaa. Täällä on ollut viime viikolla niin kuuma, että pohjoismaalainen tyttö on täysin toimintakyvytön. Mutta ton limun nosteluun voimat juuri ja juuri riittää ;)

// Homemade please! Here some snapshots from my latest secret find, bar/cafe Dachkammer click, whose insanely delicious homemade rasberry-mint soda is driving me crazy - and what's best, just down my street! Under Sunday's burning sun me and Fanny dragged ourselves for these lovely refreshments, sat in the sun and made the world way better place by gossiping. It seems to be the thing number one to do now since the weather has been way too hot for a Nordic girl to do anything more. Raising a toast is  physically challenging enough ;)

Mä en oo mikään hametyyppi. Ne on hankalia, hiertää, ei voi jumpata eikä istua. MUTTA. Tämä yksilö kiinnitti huomioni Hennesin aleissa jo muutama viikko sitten ja päätin antaa sille mahdollisuuden, vaikkei se ihan mun vaatekaappiin sopivalta aluksi näyttänytkään. Toistaiseksi olen tyytyväinen :) Oon rakastunut räväkkään kuosiin, joka on helppo yhdistää milloin mihinkin rentoon basiciin ja paljon on vielä kokeilematta! Mitäs sanotte, hitti vai huti? 

// I am not a fan of skirts. They are inconvenient, chafe and you cannot really move or sit down safely without doing Marilyns. BUT. This one caught my eye at H&M sales already couple of weeks ago and I decided to give it a chance, even though I wasn't sure if it was really my style. For now, I'm glad I did :) I'm so in love with the flashy pattern that is easy to pair with any basics - and I still have many visions to try out! What do you think, hit or miss?
